Spending your vacation at friends: We are Julia and Sven Hehl from Nordwalde near Münster in Westphalia/Germany. For more than 20 years we have been regularly visiting Winterberg, mainly in the winter months for skiing. We have followed the development of the tourist infrastructure with admiration: Snow safety in winter and the most modern lift facilities as well as biking mecca in summer with over 700 km of well-marked mountain bike trails. It quickly became clear to us: we also want to become part of this project!

Winterberg:
Winterberg with its approximately 12,650 inhabitants is located in the heights of the Rothaargebirge in North Rhine-Westphalia. But the quiet little city offers much more than the expected small-town flair: Winterberg is considered to be the sports stronghold in NRW – and not only in winter!
In addition, the "Winterberg-Hallenberg Holiday Region" has achieved international fame with 1.2 million overnight stays and almost 2 million day visitors every year. Winterberg has made its name as a winter sports destination. In the winter months, it offers 27.5 kilometers of downhill tracks thanks to 360 snow machines and 26 ultra-modern ski-lifts. It is also the venue for World Cup bobsleigh and luge races.
In summer, the adventure mountain Kappe offers its large bike park as well as a variety of other recreational opportunities. In the surrounding area 700 kilometers of prepared mountain bike trails are waiting. The magnificent nature of Rothaarsteig with countless kilometers of well-maintained walking and biking trails attracts both hiking enthusiasts as well as health-conscious guests.
Winterberg also offers a lot in terms of architecture and culinary delights: The typical Sauerland timber-framed houses can be found here as well as a wide range of restaurants from steak, pasta, potato and pancake houses along with dignified star cuisine and international specialties (Asian, Indian, American, Greek, Italian and many more) to the party mile "Am Waltenberg" with "Dorf-Alm" and Irish pub. Those who like to stroll and go shopping will certainly use the pedestrian precinct in the city center with its small boutiques and stores.

In order to guarantee a successful holiday experience to all guests and residents of the copounds and resorts where our accommodation is located, it is necessary to observe a few rules, requests and procedures, which are listed below:
#1 These rules are part of our General Terms and Conditions. By booking you accept the rules as binding (see also "General Terms and Conditions").
#2 For the use of our vacation properties a deposit may be required (amount varies depending on the accommodation). In this case, the deposit payment must be received by us 3 days prior to your arrival. This deposit serves us as a guarantee for any damages and defects that may occur under your responsibility. Should the handing over report remain without entry at your key return before departure, you will get your full deposit back within 14 days in the same way.
#3 Upon your arrival in some of the resorts, the security will make copies of your (travel) passports and keep them for official and private law purposes (e.g. inquiries by the police or assertion of claims for damages). If necessary, you will receive admission cards for the duration of your stay, which must be shown when (re-)entering the facility. These cards identify you as an authorized visitor and make it easier to secure the facilities. The instructions of the security personnel must always be followed!
#4 Out of respect for all residents, we ask that you refrain from excessive noise in the complex throughout the day. Playing loud audible music outside the vacation properties is prohibited. In addition, in the period from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. noon and from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. night rest! During this time, special consideration for other guests and neighbors is required. TV and audio equipment must be set to room volume.
#5 Bringing, feeding and keeping (domestic) animals is prohibited!
#6 Entering other private areas within the facilities is prohibited!
#7 Placing or distributing commercial advertising in the facility is prohibited!
#8 Please separate and dispose your garbage only into the provided garbage cans.
#9 The entire equipment and furniture in the vacation properties (all permanently installed as well as all loose items) are our property! We ask you to always treat the apartments including furnishings with care and return them as you found them. A handover report provides information about the condition of all furnishings upon both arrival and departure. Any kind of modification of the building and its facilities, including the unauthorized moving and rearranging of furnishings (especially beds) is not permitted.
#10 It is not allowed to smoke in the vacation properties! In case of violation, a cleaning fee of up to EUR 250.00 may be charged. Smoking is only allowed outside; the doors to the apartments must be kept closed during this time.
#11 For the duration of the vacation rental, the tenants are obliged to keep windows and doors closed and to turn off lights and technical devices when leaving the apartments.
#12 The parking lots belonging to our vacation rentals can be used free of charge! However, the use is at your own risk. We are not liable for any damage caused to your vehicle when entering or leaving or during parking. Please note that the use of all other parking spaces at the houses is prohibited. Additional free parking is available in designated parking areas of the ski resort. The parking lots at Kapperundweg are equipped with parking machines of the city of Winterberg and therefore subject to charges.
#13 The tenants of the vacation properties are not allowed to invite or take other guests from outside into the facilities. In addition, the overnight stay in the house or in the apartments is only allowed to the registered vacation guests in compliance with the maximum occupancy in each case.
#14 The tenants of the vacation properties are obliged to grant the employees of all facilities and resorts access to the house or apartments in case of an emergency!
#15 You must immediately report any damage and/or defects that occur during your stay! In such case, please contact us by phone at (+49)/(0)2573/6078640 or by e-mail to info@winterberg-ferien.de.
#16 The tenants of the vacation properties are revocably granted free use of the respective available Internet connection on the one hand with the terminal devices available in the vacation properties (e.g. Smart TV, etc.) and on the other hand with the devices brought by themselves (e.g. smartphones, tablets, notebooks, etc.). By using the access data to the WLAN, the tenants and/or users accept that all such used services and legal transactions are the sole responsibility of themselves. The tenants and/or users are always obliged to comply with the applicable law when using the WLAN. Thus, the tenants or users may not use the WLAN to retrieve or distribute immoral or illegal content. Furthermore, they may not unlawfully acquire, reproduce, distribute or make accessible any copyrighted material. The tenant(s) and/or user(s) shall indemnify the landlord(s) and/or owner(s) against all damages and claims of third parties based on any illegal use of the WLAN and/or any violation of this agreement. This also extends to costs and expenses associated with the claim or its defense. The setup modification of any device available in the vacation properties, in particular saving and deleting data and/or applications, is prohibited! Criminal acts will be reported and prosecuted.
